In the 19.12.2013 Press Release Jolla also announced the opening of a “co-creation platform” this week.
This Jolla community portal is much awaited by the users, developers and whole sailor community at large. There has been lately many lively discussions in Twitter, SailfishOS development mailinglist, Talk Maemo.org forums, and in Freenode #jollamobile and #sailfishos chat channels about the need and requirements of this kind of portal.
Until now, those channels and an official Jolla Care SUpport site (with email-address to email@example.com) have been open and in use for community interaction, and suppport. Now, Jolla has apparently finalized the planning of this community feedback platform, and it will be launched this week according to the Press Release
Jolla believes in co-creation and wants to empower its users to participate in developing Jolla continuously further and better. To facilitate co-creation and collect feedback, Jolla will be opening a portal at together.jolla.com where customers can discuss and vote on which features they would like to see in Jolla, report issues and submit ideas.
“We launched Jolla with Sailfish OS Beta to put the product in the hands of real customers as soon as possible. We have received a lot of valuable feedback, for example, regarding power management and most wanted features, and we are reacting quickly. W have already released two updates for the OS and are expecting to rapidly improve the capabilities with frequent over the air updates,” Pienimäki concludes.
So, all in all, with the launc of official Jolla On-line Shop this is great news for Jolla community. Now we also have an official and public site to report issues, vote for new features, make suggestions and wishes, and most importantly to share Jolla-device and SailfishsOS user experiences.
