Jolla Expands Into Estonia
Recently Jolla have been making more inroads to conquer the world with their open source Sailfish OS by partnering up with the mobile network Elisa in Estonia.
Elisa are a mobile network originating in Finland, but also serving Estonia and according to their website are currently the market leading Finnish network:
Elisa is a telecommunications, ICT and online service company serving 2.3 million consumer, corporate and public administration organisation customers.
In Finland Elisa is the market leader in mobile subscriptions and fixed broadband subscriptions. Cooperation with Vodafone and Telenor enables international use of services.
This is great news and shows the Jolla ship is steadily sailing out of Finnish waters expanding into further reaching European territories.
From the maps, you can see, the boat didn’t have to travel too far over the Gulf Of Finland to reach their new home – we look forward to welcoming some new Estonian Jolla owners in good time! :-)
According to Jolla, priorities still lie very much in setting up ports in China, India and Russia, but in the meantime it’s nice to see some more serious interest on Jolla’s doorstep = Europe.
